Jonathan M. Rhodes

Jonathan M. Rhodes

As Founder and Managing Attorney Jonathan M. Rhodes has over a decade of experience in business development, real estate development, family law and general legal practice.

As your advocate, Jonathan leads the firm to provide strategic consulting and advice, as well as real-world experience that will help clients achieve their goals as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.

In Real estate, Jonathan is a leading attorney in restoration tax credits and has developed dozens of residential and commercial projects generating millions of dollars in state and federal tax credits. Through this practice he has also gained significant experience with transactions and disputes, establishing condo and home associations, and advocating for land use and zoning.

In Business, Jonathan has helped scores of small business and nonprofit organizations accomplish their goals through business formation, planning and development. Jonathan was appointed by the Mayor of New Orleans to serve on the City's Economic Development Advisory Committee has served as a pro bono consultant for various groups including Propeller and ThriveNOLA.

In Family Law and other matters, Jonathan has assisted hundreds of clients and is a recognized leader in the legal community. In 2010 Jonathan established Louisiana's first Help Desk for domestic litigants in the Orleans Parish Court, and was then asked to create similar desks in East Baton Rouge Family Court and Jefferson Parish. This model has now been adopted by over a dozen courts across Louisiana. Jonathan's work has been recognized by the Louisiana State Bar Association with an "Innovation Award" and nationally by the Pro Bono Institute for his partnership with Entergy Corporation's legal department in Family Court.

Jonathan is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and serves on the Criminal Justice Committee. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana State Courts and the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana. He live in New Orleans with his wife and three children.

Evian Mugrabi, S.J.D.

Evian Mugrabi, S.J.D.

Dr. Mugrabi has recently joined the Rhodes Law Firm, after completing her SJD degree (PhD degree in law) at Tulane University Law School. Originally hailing from Israel, Evian was granted the Fulbright Scholarship to pursue a Doctorate degree and moved to the United States. In addition to her SJD, Evian holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, an LLB (Doctorate of Jurisprudence equivalent), and an LLM (Master Degree in Law) from the University of Haifa in Israel. While studying at Tulane University, Evian worked as an adjunct professor at the Jewish Studies Department and focused on Alternative Dispute Resolutions in the Middle East and North America.

Dr. Mugrabi is an experienced civil litigation attorney, admitted to practice law in Louisiana, New York, and Israel. Initially, she practiced law in Israel for over five years and gained significant civil litigation experience which she continued to apply to her legal practice in the United States. Before joining the Rhodes Law Firm, Evian worked as the legal director of the Louisiana Civil Justice Center, a non-profit organization that provided free civil legal services to Louisiana residents. In 2017, Evian received the "Access to Justice Hero Award" by the Louisiana State Bar Association in recognition of her contributions to Louisiana's legal community and residents. Through her work at LCJC Evian acquired significant expertise in disaster law and delivered multiple CLE accredited lectures on disaster-related legal issues before the ABA, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association and mentored several attorneys who volunteered to provide pro-bono services to disaster survivors.

During her free time, Evian enjoys music, dancing, and teaching her Texan husband and American friends how to prepare authentic Arab and Israeli food.
